Guide for papikondalu trip

During late November in 2007, together with a group of friends, we set out for an exciting trip that was to take us through the splendours of River Godavari (one of the largest rivers in India, and dominant in South of India) that negotiates the lush green hills 'Papi kondalu' . Papi Kondalu hill range is located in the south Indian state of 'Andhra Pradesh' and is at about 350 km from its capital Hyderabad (known for history, pearls and Hitec revolution in India).we can to papikondalu by rajamandry or badrachalam.If you go by rajamandy you can see a scenic beauty of patiseema.There we can see a temple in an island,Its prime location for shootings.
from patiseem there are two packages of trips to papikondalu by aptdc.
1.one day boat trip in godavari river from patiseema
by this we can see the papikondalu,some temples.
2.two day trip,day1 boat trip from patiseema to koluru (village located in papikondalu on the river bank).Night stay in the huts provided by the aptdc organizers.day2-returning from koluru to patiseema.for this trip visitors should be minimum of 20 people,as aptdc people will give sperate boat for them.
It is very safe place for children,ladies.If you go by large group two day trip well be memorable.
Plan for the trip:
1.Book train tickets from your place to rajamandry.
2.As Aptdc centers are in every city,you can book early.

4.As per nov2007,for two day trip each person costs :1500
which includes boat trip,stay in koluru,food for two days(not for the 2nd day dinner)
5.you need to book cab from rajamandry to patiseema.

• If visitors are more than 20,you can ask aptdc person to arrange a bus.It costs around 200 per head(rajamandry to patiseema and viceversa).we wnet by this bus.

6.freshup in patiseema.

• For freshup you can book patiseema guest house.The rate will be based your negotiation.
• It is also a very good place to stay.As this guesthouse on the bank of river .we have good scenery.for 24 hrs stay they will collect 700Rs for 4 people.

7.From there boat trip starts at 10:30 form patiseema to papikondalu and next day by 6 pm you will return to patiseema.

8.For freshup if required once again you can book patiseema guesthouse.If you request guesthouse manager will arrange a very good south indian vegetarian dinner.

9.By bus reach rajamandary station.From there your destination.
